Objective: Integrating your social media accounts with mail2 is a great way to engage an even wider audience in your email marketing. You can easily connect mail2 with your Facebook and Twitter pages by following the guide below. Twitter is a simple one-step authentication. Facebook has a few more steps. In either case, before you begin, ensure you are logged in to the appropriate accounts.    
 

IMPORTANT NOTES:

  • Public email campaigns will not populate tokens, unless a default value is set for that token. 
  • Public email campaigns will populate all content, including every segment of dynamic content.  
  • You can remove the integration by clicking the x to the right of the account on the integrations tab. 
  • You can resync the integration by clicking the arrows to the right of the account on the integrations tab.

Go to "My Account"

Click "Integrations"

Click "Add Account" next to Facebook or Twitter

Twitter

Ensure you are logged in to your appropriate Twitter account and click "Add Account". Twitter will automatically connect.

Facebook

Before you begin setting up your Facebook integration, you'll want to ensure you have the correct permissions on both the mail2 side, and the Facebook side. On the mail2 side, you'll need to either be an Account Owner or Email Marketer to have access to integrate these accounts. On the Facebook side, you'll need to have "Admin" permissions. Once you have the correct permissions, you're all set to begin!

Provide Public Profile and Email Address

While mail2 does receive your public Facebook profile information and email address, we do not utilize or sell this information in any capacity. You must select "okay" to progress to the next step.

Grant Permission to Post

You, and any mail2 user in your organization, will have the ability to post to your personal Facebook profile as part of this integration with your mail2 account. mail2 as a company will never to post to your personal Facebook profile. You must select "okay" to progress to the next step.

Grant mail2 Permission to Publish 

You, and any mail2 user in your organization, will have the ability to post to your organization's Facebook page as part of this integration with your mail2 account. mail2 as a company will never post to your organization's Facebook page. You must select "okay" to progress to the next step.

Set Your Default Posting Location

Post to: This will set the default location for where your public email campaigns will be posted to at the time of send. You have the option to change this location at the time of campaign creation.

  • Wall: Selecting this option will post your public email campaign to the personal Facebook profile wall of the connected account. 
  • Your Organization: Selecting this option will post your public email campaign to your organization's Facebook page. 

You can select a default image should an image not be available for the Facebook post. You will have the option to change this image during campaign creation.
